Tropical storm Laura

The track for Tropical Storm Laura has shifted west from yesterday's forecast , and has Laura potentially making landfall near the Texas/Louisiana border on Thursday as a category 2 hurricane.

Crunching through latest guidance is a bit concerning, as they generally are pointing to an even farther westerly track with Laura, and this would give Laura more time over very warm waters and a low shear environment to intensify.

After Marco, residents in both Texas and Louisiana need to stay on guard for impacts from Laura. This will be the storm to watch.
