Dangerous Cyclone Emnati set to hits Madagascar
Yet more bad news for the Indian Ocean island of Madagascar.
Tropical cyclone Emnati is forecast to make landfall on Tuesday evening as a strong category 3 or category 4 strength.
WMO's regional tropical cyclone centre La Réunion, operated by Meteo-France, desribes it as a "dangerous cyclone, posing a very serious threat for the landfall area."
Emnati is forecast to be similar in intensity and track to Batsirai, which caused devastation and loss of life on 5 February. It is the 4th storm in month (including Ana on 22 January and Dumako on 15 February) to impact Madagascar.
