Storm Eunice: Dramatic photos from across the UK

Dramatic photos from across the UK show the extent of the havoc wreaked by Storm Eunice, forecast to be one of the worst storms in three decades.

Travel has been majorly disrupted with flights cancelled, railway lines closed, trains stranded between stations and bridges closed.

The Government is meeting for an emergency Cobra and the army is on “high readiness standby” after two very rare red alert warnings for extremely strong winds and a “danger to life” were issued.
