The sun blocked as the huge sandstorm covers the Mafraq of Jordan

A large sandstorm hit Mafraq in northern Jordan on May 27, 2022. The sandstorm
was caused by strong winds, with sand displaced by storms. Residents were
forced indoors as the air quality was falling outside. Traffic stopped poor
visibility made trips unsafe for drivers. The sandstorm lasted about three
hours, however there is a risk of further storms in the area.
