Huge tornado injures several people in Canada (video)

Tornadoes can be very common and extremely devastating in North America and
Canada has been the latest victim.

A large part of a town in Canada was hit on Saturday by a tornado, which
caused extreme damage and has also injured several people in the process.

This happened in the Canadian town of Alberta on Saturday, July 1. When the
video was published on social media, the expressions of solidarity and support
were immediate.

The tornado occurred while the Canadian people were celebrating Canada's
National Day, so no one was prepared as they were resting and celebrating.

Many homes were damaged and others devastated by the power of the tornado.
This occurred in Mountain View County, where several people were reportedly
injured and an emergency alert was issued for Didsbury, Olds and Carstair.

Likewise, the Alberta RCMP asked people to take shelter and therefore not to
leave their homes until it calms down.

In any case, they implemented a search plan to make sure people were safe,
especially to search through the rubble that was left behind.

Fortunately, the authorities reported at the time that there were no
fatalities from the tornado. However, they did report that people were injured
and are now being treated.

"Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is
producing a tornado," Environment and Climate Change Canada said, issuing a
warning about the tornado.

"Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

"This tornado is located near Didsbury and is moving southeast at 40 km/h.

"This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation."
