Tonga Islands region hit with magnitude 6.2 earthquake

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted Tonga Islands at 06:33:33 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 264.9 km, was initially determined to be at 18.86 degrees south latitude and 175.54 degrees west longitude.
