4.2 magnitude earthquake shakes 210km west of Vancouver Island
A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Vancouver Island this morning about 210 kilometres west of Nootka Island.
Earthquakes Canada recorded the earthquake at 8:35 a.m. at a depth of 10 kilometres.
This is the 59th recorded earthquake across southwestern British Columbia in the last month and it’s the only 4.0+ magnitude quake.
Last week, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck on the Haro Strait, with many CHEK News viewers reporting the shake.
